The ideal candidate will have a great time assisting management with public relations tasks and basic administrative duties.

Hours: Standard 8:00am – 5:00pm with the availability to work earlier, later and weekends

Job qualifications:

2 years direct supervisory/management experience or an Associate’s Degree from an accredited two-year degree granting college or university Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong organizational skills and ability to critically think Elections experience or Spanish fluency a plus Possession of a valid and current FL Driver License with no more than seven points

Respond to inquiries and requests directed to the Candidate Services department via phone, email and in person   Answer questions and share voting and elections information with the public Provide voter registration instructions and informational material at offsite outreach events (must have reliable transportation) Assist in maintaining electronic and hard copy records Assist with administrative needs of the Communications department Refrain from any partisan or political comments or discussion while representing the office of the Supervisor of Elections Other duties as assigned

Apparel Designer _ $70,000 to $83,000 Annually

Manpower is looking for a Apparel Designer for our client in Vancouver BC. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•     Design and develop men’s & women’s active, lifestyle, sportswear & outerwear collections for in house brands.  More focus will be placed in Men’s & Outerwear for this specific position, flexibility to work on various programs will be an asset.
•     Create line sheets for technical design and for overseas factory use
•     Create storyboards/inspiration boards for upcoming collections
•     Forecast fabrication, silhouette, print, colour, and trends
•     Follow through from design creation to sample development
•     Work with offshore vendors and manufacturers as well as internal teams to bring samples to fruition
•     Responsible for portion of collection from a design, colour, intention and construction standpoint
•     Work closely with sales and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the designs suit the clients, consumer, market, and end user
QUALIFICATIONS:
•     University graduate in Fashion Arts or equivalent combination of education and work experience
•     Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
•     Must have expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
•     Possesses fibre, yarn and fabric knowledge with a key emphasis on performance fabrications
•     Knowledge of garment construction and fit
•     Ability to work independently as well as within a team
•     Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
•     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•     Seasonal travel will be required
•     Experience in Outerwear design & construction will be considered an asset
