    Manpower is currently seeking a Materials Receiver for a contract with a major pipeline client in Tupperville, ON.

    Location: Tupperville, ON
    Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard 40 hours/week, hybrid model (3 days onsite/ 2 days remote)
    Length of Contract: 12 months with possibility of extension

    Some responsibilities include:
    * Receive, inspect, and identify all materials received and returned to the warehouse under the direction of the Warehouse Coordinator and/or Construction Superintendent.
    * Verify all materials upon arrival at the warehouse to the stamped BOM for proper grade, size, wall thickness, and overall quality. Verify the material's heat number, PO, and MTR.
    * Mark up and identify all materials with the appropriate project (drawing) number. Identify Material Design Code CSA or ASME
    * Manage materials to be scrapped, re-used, returned to stock, or returned to supplier as directed by the Materials Coordinator based on the final Material Disposition Action.
    * Order, ship, and receive all supplies and materials that are not part of a BOM. i.e., Tape Coat, Clock Spring Adhesive, SPC 2888, brushes, rollers, Denso, safety apparel etc.
    * Ensure a first-in, first-out system is maintained with all materials. Adjust the minimum on-hand quantity as necessary to fulfill the upcoming departmental work portfolio.

    The ideal candidate must have:
    * 3+ years of shipping / receiving experience.
    * 3+ years of quality control experience relating to materials
    * Exceptional computer skills in word, excel, and material management software
    * Ability to multitask in a self-directed work environment
    * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
    * Must provide drivers abstract showing a clean driving record
    * Must be able to speak, read and write English
    * Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    * Ability to use basic hand tools i.e., Power Drill, Pliers, Hammers, etc.

Develops and manages similar metrics for individual performance. Ensures that the appropriate software and tools are in place to foster efficiency of processes. Develops business cases for process improvement, manages intradepartmental process improvement projects and participates in interdepartmental proc improvement projects as required. Manages Inventory and Material Management systems to ensure that the warehouse is stocked appropriately to ensure plant reliability while balancing low cost and quality deliverables. Ensures back up in the Warehouse(s) during periods of absence. Provides service as required by the SMT to dispose of surplus and/or obsolete equipment. Facilitates Purchasing and Warehouse activity mgt in alignment with the strategic turnaround plan and other site project initiatives. Ensures implementation of the Business Plan. Provides regular mentoring, coaching and development to team members. Ensures technical skills of all staff are maintained at an adequate level to effectively support the business. Ensures employee and contractor compliance policies, procedures and applicable standards. Participates in the KMI system on site and works to complete/resolve any delegated action items. Develops and actively manages the annual department plan, team goals and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provides leadership around best procurement and contract management practices and systems. Ensures proactive engagement with external departments to understand site activities, impacts to procurement and to consult on how procurement can support site activities.

Certified Professional designation through an accredited body would be an asset. 10 years experience in Contract Administration and Procurement, preferably within a Chemical Manufacturing environment.     Direct Hire- Purchasing Manager

    Manpower is partnering with a Lafayette, IN based metal/metal products manufacturer to identify qualified candidates for a direct hire Purchasing Manager.

    Job Summary: Responsible for ordering, pricing, inventory and sourcing of raw materials. Champions purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventory at planned levels while obtaining optimum cost.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    * Negotiate pricing and execute purchasing contracts efficiently and effectively
    * Oversee direct & indirect items purchasing operations
    * Plan, perform, manage, and execute physical inventories
    * Set-up minimum/maximum inventory levels and monitor/adjust as needed
    * Develop and maintain a vendor quality rating system
    * Research and visit new vendors as needed
    * Minimize inventory levels while maximizing inventory turns
    * Performs or oversees necessary data entry for raw materials
    * Knowledge of extrinsic factors relating to commodities purchased
    * Monitor quality of goods through cost, schedules, delivery, and conformance to specifications
    * Maintain tracking system for material certifications
    * Accurately calculate make vs buy decisions
    * Communicate with suppliers about lead time deliveries for production planning and customer demands

    Qualification Requirements:
    * Have a bachelor's degree in business related field with 3 to 5 years' experience in the purchasing field; or the equivalent work experience/training
    * Ability to work in a MRP environment
    * Ability to deal with numbers/figures with a high degree of accuracy
    * Possess good interpersonal/communication and problem-solving skills and negotiating skills
    * Ability to learn and apply purchasing Kanban, JIT and lean manufacturing principles & practices
