    This Position is in Palo Alto, California - near San Francisco

    1. Meet and exceed guest and team member expectations by providing Legendary Service and team work.
    2. Report to work on time and in complete uniform as prescribed by your Supervisor
    3. Hands on preparation of all Line items, including a) Sauté, b) Wheel/Window, c) Broiler and Vegetable Station.
    4. Ensure that recipe cards are followed, when available.
    5. Maintain par stock on all items used on Line; notify Supervisor daily of items to be requisitioned.
    6. Maintain a sanitary, organized work area and other assigned area per Chef's list, including: a) stoning the grill, b) Cleaning refrigerator on Line, c) Brushing the broiler, d) General wipe-down of Line including shelves, e) Proper rotation of food products.
    7. Maintain the cleaning and organization of the walk-in, including proper rotation of products.
    8. Ensure that all food products are labeled, dated and put away after closing of Restaurant. These practices must be in compliance with all Hotel and Health Department regulations.
    9. Every cook will be assigned an area of responsibility related to the Line, i.e., Line Stations, Breakdown, Bottom drawers of Line refrigerator, Walk-In 1, 2, or 3.
    10. Closing Line Cooks: Ensure that all food has been properly stored/refrigerated; responsible for locking reach-ins, walk-ins, storage room and Chef's office before leaving at night.
    11. Be continually alert for the safety of all employees and guests, reporting any unsafe conditions to your immediate supervisor.
    12. Follow hotel grooming and dress standards, minimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
    13. Keep your Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
    14. Perform all duties and responsibilities asked of you in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
    15. Perform any other job duties as requested Executive Chef, GM, Planning Committee Member, or the Manager on Duty.

    Essential Functions
    * Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and process correct diets and portions for all age groups from pediatrics through elderly adults.
    * Assess and interpret data about the patient's status in order to identify age-specific needs and provide the care needed.
    * Process patient diet orders and customer orders, including patient/family initiated orders and those patients needing assistance.
    * Receive requests for diet changes or meal requests via phone, computer, fax; or written format during downtime. Follow standard procedures for all patient diets.
    * Process orders for nourishment.
    * Coordinate delivery of all tube feeding and oral supplement orders. Prepare and deliver formula according to physician diet order.
    * Perform all work in a safe and sanitary manner.
    * Maintain all workstations in a neat and organized manner.
    * Performs other related and incidental duties as needed or assigned.
    * Contributes to cost containment by managing time and supplies so that assignments are completed as scheduled and resources are not wasted.
    Relationships with Others
    Employees in this class have regular in-person contact with patients, visitors, clinical staff, and/or the public. Employees have occasional contact by telephone and in person with service representatives when equipment needs repairs.
    Supervision Received
    Employees in this class receive general supervision from a manager or supervisor who assigns work verbally or through written instructions. Work is reviewed by observation on a daily basis to ensure work standards and procedures are followed, to check for adequate staffing, and to ensure conformance with safety and sanitation procedures.     Minimum Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Nutrition background or degree preferred
    Experience: 1 year customer service and/or call center experience.
