    Maintain and provide accurate Medical Record Information in a confidential, efficient and professional manner to support the needs of all Health Information Management customers.     MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES
    Actively cross-train in other areas of the department and provide coverage or assistance as needed or as directed. 10 %
    Accurately and efficiently research, request, retrieve and route medical records, films, and loose paperwork in order to support patient/customer needs. Expedite follow up with any requestor when medical records, films, or paperwork cannot be located. 10 %
    Assist and direct requestors in the accurate completion of all HIPAA forms. Following system policies and procedures, HIPAA guidelines, and departmental protocols accurately research, log, process and/or forward for processing all Release of Information Requests in a timely manner. 10 %
    Attend required training programs, departmental and section meetings, providing regular feedback to fellow employees and management on new document types, updates, or changes in workflows. Actively seek training and information updates on all procedures needed to perform your job accurately whether related to system updates in software, hardware, HIPAA rules, etc. 10 %
    Following departmental guidelines for quality and quantity scan and electronically process documents for placement and deficiency routing to all appropriate providers. Report any new forms for determination of document type. 10 %
    Maintain accurate productivity statistics for all job duties performed and submit by designated due date. Update your productivity spreadsheet as workflow changes may demand and submit changes to management for final approval in a timely manner. 10%
    Process STAT requests for scanning or charts immediately, communicating follow up with customers when appropriate. 10 %
    Properly prepare paperwork for centralized scanning or for filing in accordance with departmental guidelines and system protocols. Perform 100% QA on all forms prior to scanning. This process could include but not be limited to verifying two identifiers, applying medical record numbers to each page, date stamping, sorting, punching holes, etc. 10 %
    Properly use, monitor, and perform all duties associated with electronic devices and desk top applications; accurately respond to processing inquiries, requests, transcription, carbon copy distributions, digitizing films, making system corrections, maintaining and updating database directories, spreadsheets or logs. When any system is unavailable use other defined systems and down time procedures to
    perform job duties per individual site/area. 10 %
    Provide customer support by responding to all communications, (telephone calls, e-mails, EMR messaging, memoï¿s½, faxes, etc.), prioritizing and following up with communications in a professional and expedient manner and according to departmental guidelines; this includes achieving a minimum of 90% (TSF) Telephone Service Factor while answering switchboard phone calls. Greet and provide compassionate and professional support to any HIM customer; this could include but not be limited to funeral home representatives, vendors, auditors, patients, and fellow staff members. Provide coverage for the reception and switchboard areas of the department, assuring that they are never without coverage for walk-ins and/or phone calls. 10%

The Rehabilitation Service Specialist is the program manager for individuals in skill building, supported employment, community living supports, evaluation, work adjustment, placement or other vocational training programs. Responsible for counseling program participants, authoring designated plans of service, implementing and/or coordinating the implementation of the plan, writing progress reviews of the plan and communicating with the designated referral contact person. At each step of the process, the Rehabilitation Specialist needs to include and keep the focus of the program on the participant.     Supervise up to 7 people on 1 line.
    Maintain clean/safe work area.

    Qualifications
    High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    Previous production/manufacturing experience required.
    Detail oriented with good organizational and analytical skills.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to comprehend simple instructions.
    Ability to work well with others in order to accomplish team objectives.
    Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
    Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
