    The Facilities Technician monitors and keeps the Palatka properties in prime condition.
    Principal responsibilities include performing general building maintenance duties to ensure that building systems are operational and functioning properly at all times, facility troubleshooting and repairs along with recording/documenting quality assurance maintenance schedules compliant with company and AHCA standards.
    Other responsibilities include responding to building maintenance issues thru the help desk as well as various designated maintenance duties.
    The building technician is to be available at times to respond to after hours building and equipment emergencies.
    Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    - Building and grounds maintenance - maintain interior and exterior of building including parking lot grounds, lighting, signage, painting etc.
    - Conduct daily rounds to ensure upkeep of building interior and exterior.
    - Maintenance and troubleshooting for HVAC equipment, building automation systems, plumbing, electrical and all other mechanical systems.
    - Prepare and maintain building compliance maintenance logs.
    - Works with vendors to ensure that preventive maintenance on building equipment is being conducted according to the contract schedule and scope of work.
    - Actively maintains a clean, safe, professional and orderly atmosphere throughout the facility and facility grounds.
    - Ensures that corridors and exits are kept free of obstacles.
    - Conduct quarterly fire drills for care centers, and annual fire drills for administration. Document each drill and provide in-service to each working shift, insuring that procedures are understood and carried out with participating staff.
    - Consistently practices good body mechanics and uses appropriate safety equipment (i.e., back support, protective eyewear, particulate mask).
    - Routinely and actively addresses facilities appearance.
    - Providing attention to hallways/corridors keeping them clean and free from obstacles. Bathrooms, common areas and parking lots kept in presentable fashion.
    - Performs and assists with facility inspections associated with Local and State agencies.
    - Accurately and legibly performs and records preventative maintenance schedules in accordance with HH Facilities Quality Assurance Log Book procedures. This is to include documentation of all facility components. Emergency generator, fire sprinklers, fire panels, fire extinguishers, repair notations and scheduled maintenance from outside vendors.
    - Routinely changes air filters and performs manufacturer recommended maintenance.
    - Routinely cleans refrigerator coils.
    - Performs and documents routine inspections of HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen appliances and other building related machinery as assigned.
    Requirements
    Education - High School diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years experience in cleaning and basic facility maintenance. HVAC certification preferred.

    Experience - Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electric, air conditioning and mechanical/electrical equipment, painting and drywall repair, pressure washer and cleaning equipment. Awareness of safety/OSHA regulations. Florida driver's license and auto insurance.
