    GENERAL SUMMARY:
    This position is equivalent to a QA Analyst or Engineering Technician assisting several scientists with their project work. Main duties entail managing the R&D developmental stability program as well as maintaining the developmental laboratory.


    SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTY EXAMPLES:
    1. General laboratory work, including wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, following established methods.
    2. Internet searches of technology, materials, and references.
    3. Discussions with staff scientists relative to project work.
    4. General organizational work, such as keeping files, laboratory notebooks, and records.
    5. Project management, including setting and meeting deadlines, providing results, and preparing reports.


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    * Required: college chemistry through organic, college math through algebra, experience in laboratory work. Demonstrated familiarity with software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    * Desired: BS or BA degree in chemistry or related discipline. Experience in a manufacturing or business environment.
    * Walk or stand the majority of the shift
    * Lift 35 lbs. from floor to shoulder rarely
    * Push/pull 150 lbs. on a moving dolly rarely
    * Frequent reaching with flexion of elbows
