Facility Maintenance Technician

The position requires a self-motivated individual that is able to manage their time efficiently and with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for repairs to all physical structures, property and equipment in a residential apartment complex. You will prepare vacant homes for occupancy, perform basic construction, plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance, do snow removal and general cleanup in the public areas. This position also offers over-time pay for "on call" status. The right person for this job is someone that takes pride in the appearance of the property they manage. It brings potential for advancement for the right individual.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 2+ years of maintenance or construction experience
* H.S. diploma or equivalent (Vocational trade school or HVAC certification helpful)
* An ability to communicate and understand detailed instruction
* Be polite and courteous
* General knowledge of basic building construction, plumbing, electric and gas furnaces, water heaters , HVAC
* Residency in Hagerstown or a commute time of less than 40 minutes
* An ability to safely use and maintain power tools and equipment
* Ability to safely perform physical work that includes lifting
* A valid driver's license with a good driving record
Base salary is $33-35,000 and is commensurate with experience. Position will include paid OT, bonus incentives and advancement opportunity.
