    * Maintains current revisions of specifications and standards, and communicates requirements throughout the facility as needed. Retains quality records required by customers and agencies.
    * Assures materials received are procured from approved sources, capable of meeting requirements, and properly certified to customer requirements.
    * Assures effective calibration of all measurement and test equipment used to monitor or control processes or used to evaluate product conformity.
    * Initiates and participates in corrective/preventive action stemming from internal audit findings, customer complaints, and product and process issues.
    * Schedules and manages audits of internal products/processes and vendors, preparing for and leading interaction with external quality auditors, including responsibility to successfully close audit findings from external audits. Maintains required customer and industry certifications relating to quality.
    * Ensures the conformance of product, processes, and services to customer and regulatory requirements, using his/her authority to halt processes creating non - conforming product.
    Qualifications:
    * To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
    * U.S. Person - This position requires a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. ITAR and EAR regulations due to the company handling items and data restricted for export by ITAR and/or EAR. Proof of U.S. citizenship (U.S. birth certificate or U.S. passport), naturalization or permanent resident status is required.
    Education, Experience, Other Skills:
    * Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science plus Six Sigma Greenbelt (or similar training) plus five years of experience in quality management and/or quality engineering; or ASQ Quality Manager certification plus Six Sigma Greenbelt (or similar training) plus seven years of experience in quality management and/or quality engineering.
    Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and statistics to such tasks as statistical process control, design of experiment, and various analysis methodologies.

    GENERAL SUMMARY

    Operate Company vehicles to transport material as directed.

    MAJOR FUNCTIONS

    Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination to a destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering the vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways and congested roadways.

    Operate vehicles with strict adherence to commonly accepted Driver Safety Standards.

    Responsible for monitoring condition of truck, trailers, and equipment including pre and post trip inspections for defects. Must provide required reports on truck, trailer, and equipment condition.

    Maintain driver logs according to DOT/ICC regulations.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    General Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred to provide ability to maintain logs, forms, and reports and communicate effectively with customers. Hold a valid, Class A CDL license with Endorsement (T). Current copy of Medical long form. Pass NIDA drug/alcohol screen. Provide two prior employer references. Must have current three year commercial abstract of driving record from the local Department of Licensing.

    Driving Record Requirements: A clean motor vehicle record for the prior 3 years is preferred.
    * Applicants with two or more (prior 3 years) violations of any of the following combined violations will not be considered:
    * Excessive speeding 15 miles per hour and over.
    * Improper or erratic traffic lane changes.
    * Following the vehicle ahead too closely.
    * Applicants with three speeding violations 10 MPH and under will not be considered.
    * Applicants with two speeding violations 10 MPH and under and any violation of first bullet above
    will not be considered.

    Experience: Two years' experience operating gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination. If over 25, must have at least one year of consistent, documented over-the-road experience. If under 25, must have at least three years consistent, documented over-the-road experience.

    Skills & Abilities: Must be knowledgeable of regulations of Interstate Commerce Commission, Department of Transportation and other regulatory bodies governing the transportation industry. Have general knowledge of tractor/trailer equipment, routine maintenance procedures, and safety requirements. Have a thorough knowledge of commodity weight distribution and trailer loading procedures. Must be able to read and fill out driver logs and usual and customary shipping and transportation documents. Ability to project positive, professional attitude.

    Supervision Received: Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Must take direction from Traffic Manager and Dispatcher.

    Pressure of Work: Must maintain positive attitude in difficult situations. Must comply with all pertinent regulations while meeting schedules and deadlines.

    Scope: Directly affect profitability of trucking operation through effective communication with company traffic personnel and customers. Must insure vehicle and equipment is operational so that schedules can be met and deliveries made.

    Manpower Terrell is Hiring Engine Tear Down Associates
    1st Shift:
    Mon - Thursday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Friday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    Saturdays as needed 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    What will the Engine Tear Down Associate be doing?

    -Will use various hand tools including cutting torches, plasma cutters, saws, grinders, wrenches, screw drivers, hammers, etc. to tear down aircraft engines. The disassembled pieces are then sorted based on their alloy (what type of metal they are made of).
    -Experience with the hand tools, torches, etc. is helpful. The identification of the parts/alloys is something they will need to be trained on.
    -Forklift experience is a plus.
    -Long hours in a hot environment will be expected.
    -All employees are required to wear the proper safety equipment while on the floor which is provided by the client (safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, aprons, uniforms, steel toe boots, and full-face respirator.
