    * Reads production work schedule outlining sequence of work orders to be completed.
    * Reviews work order to determine the size of film, tape, boxes, and other supplies have been provided at work stations.
    * Verifies correct product, films, boxes, etc.
    * Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunction of machine.
    * Tracks film to ensure that front and back are lined up properly. Makes minor adjustments as needed. Eye registration, moving scanner and adjusting box index.
    * Ensures that all safety equipment is in place before operating machine.
    * Makes up boxes; loads film; checks product supply; sets up totes and pumps Inspects filled packets to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
    * Inspect packet checking for leaks and/or seeps. Seals packaged boxes with tape. Places sealed boxes on pallets and palletize in a neat manner according to pallet configurations.
    * Fills out production work order properly.
    * Start/stop times, down time codes, and packaging material used. In case of jam- up removes front die, removes basic Teflon and cleans up jam- up.
    * Operates all filling and packaging machinery.
    * Dismantles, cleans, Sanitizes equipment.
    * Performs minor mechanical repairs and light PM'S.
    * Completes changeovers as per production schedule.
    * Assists in training of other Machine Operators.
    * Participates in meetings and process improvement teams.

If a shift employees more than 1 tech then usually no coverage is necessary. If needed, Plant Management can be consulted if issues are beyond technician's area of knowledge or expertise.

    A leading manufacturing facility in Hanover PA has a direct hire opening for a Mechanical Machine Design Engineer for creative design, redesign and conceptualized design work within the organization using 2D and 3D-CAD.

    Summary:
     Provide concept ideas and machine design solutions based on customer machine requests
     Prepare drawings from ideas, makes layout drawings
     Prepare engineering calculations to support estimated production projections
     Participate in engineering department pricing estimate review
     Review all designs in cooperation with Engineering Manager, and others
     Participate in engineering department projects including new machine design developments, improvements and refinements to existing proprietary equipment and assigned design projects requiring solutions and suggestions of functional concept.
     Respond to customer service technical inquiries as requested and assigned.
     Travel on occasion to customer site to consult with customers prior to or upon installation
     Prepare written literature for designed machinery to cover operator's running instructions, plant maintenance of equipment and operational trouble-shooting
     Assist with start-up, running, trouble-shooting, and "debugging" of new and existing machine designs in the shop
     Analyze, interpret, and recommend modifications to new or existing designs

    Qualifications:
     Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
     5 + years prior mechanical design experience with proven ability of creative design preferred.
     Demonstrated machine design ability; good conceptual, writing and math skills.
     Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
     Excellent computer skills and experience with 2D and 3D-CAD.
     Thorough and detail-oriented and able to see projects through to completion.
