    Equipment Operator

    Hours: Afternoon shift, Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:00am
    Location: Airdrie

    Manpower is currently seeking Equipment Operator to fulfill a contract position in Airdrie.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    * Mark orders as started or completed on DMM
    * Set up and operate the spot weld machine, spot weld various parts and deliver them to the appropriate station
    * Conduct periodic destructive tests on the weld
    * Set up and operate a variety of machines for fabricating specific parts, e.g., Amada punch press, Shear, JFY copper punch
    * Ensure the long-term integrity of equipment
    * Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards.

    Education and Experience:
    * Experience in steel manufacturing or CNC operations
    * Grade 12 or equivalent level of education
    * Basic computer skills
    * Knowledge/experience reading basic wiring schematic symbols Amada punch press, Shear and JFY and spot welding

    Job Description

    Perform machine start-ups.
    Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize equipment failures.
    Perform inspection on machine to locate malfunctions.
    Disassemble machines and fixtures to replace and repair components.
    Be able to weld, MIG, TIG, Stick Replace electrical components as needed from 24V to 480V (relays, motors, switches, etc.).
    Be able to troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
    Troubleshoot and replace Atlas Copco Torque Equipment Maintain a clean and safe work area.
    Maintain and recover Fanuc Robot Cells.
    Operate a Hilo and Manlift Perform other duties are required.
    Able to work any shift.
    Previous experience in machine repair, 3 plus years (prefer in a JIT environment).
    Training from a college or technical school.
    Journeyman's Card Fanuc Robot Training
    Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
