Job Description

Sales Associate



Do you have experience with automotive sales? Do you pride yourself on your people skills? We have the position for you!



What's in it for you?

* $30K base

* Plus guaranteed commissions of 30K = $60K total comp all in (Minimum earnings).

* For the first 12 month, candidates are guaranteed commissions of $2,500 each month.

* Candidates get mileage reimbursement (.58 per mile), cell phone reimbursement, lap top provided.

* Guaranteed 60K in the first year just by that. Average person in their first year is making 75-85K. Average person going into their second year is making over six figures.

* Benefits (med/den/vis), 10 days of vacation, sick and holidays, and 401k at 5% match dollar for dollar. Benefits starts after 60 days of service, 401K immediately.

* We also have a tuition reimbursement program at $5K per year.

* They also do annual performance reviews where a salary increase can come into play.



Location: Will be working out of their home and using their own car. No car allowance and we don't offer vehicles. Need to be able to work from home. We will give them a laptop. Be out in the field all day. Come home and plug in at night. Will have a lot of phone calls and conference calls for weekly touches.



Hours: 8-5PM in field. But need to do whatever it takes to get the job done. May need to go on a meeting on Saturday, etc.



What is the job?

* They might be selling for O'Riley Auto Parts, Genuine Parts, Napa Auto. They are doing the same thing going into car dealerships and being in the field. Their ramp up period is very short. Well known aftermarket companies.

* If they are coming from a dealership, we need to make sure they have cold calling and field experience. If they don't but have had some outside sales experience (field experience) and now they are in the dealership, they will take that. If someone has never been out in the field, they need to provide a real solid case how they will make that jump and ramp quickly.

* Also service advisers that work for smaller mom and pop shops are actually out in the field and resolving and upselling and having those conversations. Service advisors in the field can ramp quickly. That can work.

* Someone has to be able to understand the car dealership environment, profit center, aftermarket warranty, parts, etc.

* Someone that sells pharmaceutical, manufacturing equipment, not going to be the right person. Has to be someone from the industry that is selling into the dealership.



Top Skills:

1) 4 year Degree with 2 years of sales experience. Doesn't matter what school (online, etc.)

a. The sales experience must be selling aftermarket auto parts

b. OR 6-7 years of sales experience (aftermarket auto parts) with no degree

2) Must have experience with cold calling

3) Must have experience being in the field
