What is the job?
•Collaborate with the Technical Manager of the company in the planning and execution of scheduled events for the year, normally between 3 and 5 events.
•Participate and contribute during the event’s planning meetings.
•Help set up classroom and breakdown at end of event.
•Secure venue for event.
•Coordinate with hotels for contracts and reservations.
•Schedule and contract meals to be brought to venue during event and work with vendors.
•Communicate with attendees on a regular basis prior to the event.
•Schedule and contract dinners at local restaurants and be there to insure all is taken care of and work with vendors.
•Schedule and contract transportation for the events and work with vendors.
What should you bring to the job?
•Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or a related degree preferred.
•Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
•Must have excellent people skills.
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
•Previous experience in event coordination preferred.
