Manpower has immediate openings for a Production Worker in Swiftwater, PA for a great company. $13.00 per hour 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts available!



Departments could be 8hr 10hr or 12hr/day. So, end times vary and some jobs you have to stay until it's done. Attention to detail Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED typically required Ability to pass Background and Drug Screening Inoculation is the process of unloading and loading carts of eggs from delivery trucks, transporting them to the warm rooms, and from the warm rooms to the inoculation area. The process starts when deliveries of eggs arrive from various hatcheries to the receiving dock, and the eggs are moved on large carts from the receiving dock into the warm room. The eggs are then moved out of the warm rooms, and loaded into the Inoculator (in the back room), and inoculated with the flu virus (in the front room). Each tray is inoculated and inspected, then loaded onto a cart, which is then transferred to the incubator for approximately 65 hours. * Able to push carts on wheels that may weigh up to 800 pounds * Moving trays of eggs from cart to conveyor belt and onto egg carts. * Straightening and inspection of eggs and any equipment including Inoculators. * Must be able to perform all physical requirements, including reaching, twisting bending, squatting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 25-30 pounds * Must be able to be on feet for entire 8-10 hour shift * Able and willing to work in a sterile environment, wearing scrubs, hair and beard covers, gloves and sleeves. * Able to follow directions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) * Clean equipment before, during and after production * Basic computer skills * 2 people required to move carts In Harvest, egg carts are removed from the cold box after its minimum of 10 hours or before its maximum of 30 hours. The eggs are then loaded onto the conveyor, and go through the harvesting machine. The machine cuts the eggs, go into a bonnet where the trays are flipped and the fluid is collected. The egg shells are discarded in the dumper. The trays and carts are then cleaned and washed. Throughout this process, there is a stringent inspection process. Harvest requires a very stringent cleaning process for the machines, carts, and trays following production. Production is done mostly on 1st and 2nd shift with 3rd shift doing most of the cleanup. There are several different work stations within harvest that are rotated. Job rotation takes place every hour or half hour when production is running smoothly depending on building. Work stations include: * Pulling carts from cold box * Loading trays on conveyor * Working the candling booth * Filling trays open spots with eggs * Inspecting the process * Loading empty trays off conveyor onto cart * Cart wash Requirements: * Able to safely move carts on wheels which may weigh up to 800 pounds * Must be able to perform all physical requirements, including reaching, twisting bending, squatting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 25-30 pounds * Inspection of eggs and any equipment including harvest machine Service as a department is responsible for the cleaning and preparation of all equipment and safety materials used in other departments. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, has good reading and writing skills and is able to document thoroughly. The Services department is divided into three sections, Wash, Corridor and Prep.
