    Chemical Process Manufacturing Technician - Direct Hire
    1st shift: 7am-3:15pm, M-F
    Pay Range: $26.00-$30.00 DOE 

    Summary
    The Chemical Process Manufacturing Technician is responsible for following processes and procedures on the designated equipment to ensure safe transfer, handling, and storage of chemicals throughout the pharmaceutical product manufacturing process.  This position sets up, adjusts, and troubleshoots pharmaceutical manufacturing machinery and ensures manufacturing operations are completed per standard operating procedure.

    Responsibilities 

      Handles, stores, transfers, and monitors hazardous chemicals. Ensures accurate and complete documentation of chemicals.  Executes manufacturing operations, processes, and procedures through manual and/or automated operation, control continuous and batch process while adjusting variables required in accordance with SOPs Uses HMI to control process. Completes machine setup, operation, adjustments, and troubleshooting related to the equipment. Maintains efficiencies and standards to meet quality manufacturing requirements and established routing times. Maintains appropriate quality and production documentation. Responsible for the review of all assigned batch record documentation to ensure error free work. Performs general light maintenance and troubleshooting. Observes all company, local, state, and federal environmental, safety, and quality regulations. Adheres to current waste disposal and hazardous material regulations and follows hazardous material spill response protocols. Reports incidents, safety violations, or other concerns. Works with other team members to complete the production process. Assists with planning and improving processes and product quality.

    Experience

      More education or experience in a related field may be required and/or made available. Completion of Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification training is required for this position.  HAZWOPER training will be provided within 6-months of on-boarding if not currently certified. Experience working with forklifts is preferred.  In-house forklift operator certification will be required for the position.

    Job Qualifications: 
     
    * This position requires the candidate to lift to 25kg, stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs.
    * Secondary School Diploma required.
    * Previous experience in an industrial or chemical handling environment (1-2 years)
    * Knowledge and/or training in TDG, WHMIS, Emergency Response, Forklift License.
    * Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and ERP systems would be considered an asset.
    * Commitment to safety and past Joint Health & Safety Committee experience is considered an asset.

    Responsibilities:

    * Executes the fulfillment of customers’ orders and requirements through the processes of blending, packaging, order pulling and shipment of goods, packaged and bulk.
    * Inspects, loads and unloads packaged and bulk products (transportation trucks) in a safe, efficient manner and confirms all appropriate regulatory documentation is in order; performs quality tests where required.
    * Performs role in a manner within regulatory requirements and company policies, programs, and expectations.
    * Always ensures a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions immediately to Site Management.
    * Inspects and verifies the satisfactory performance of all equipment and tools used in this area of operations, recommends changes where necessary, and actively participates in keeping the work area clean, organized and functional.
    * Shares in the responsibility of managing the inventory of both finished goods and raw material, ensuring that all material movements are properly documented, and safe storage and handling procedures are followed.
    * Supports and follows ‘Job 7’ product shipment best practices initiatives.
    * Completes other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Site Manager/Site Supervisor/ Operations Manager.

    Short Term QC Analyst – Analytical Chemistry - 6 Month

    Reckitt, formally Mead Johnson Nutrition, located in Zeeland, MI, is seeking a motivated and experienced QC Analyst to join the ZIPP Analytical Chemistry Team. Reckitt is a global organization that exists to protect, heal, and nurture in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner and healthier world. The IFCN site in Zeeland, MI is a major manufacturer of infant and child nutritional powders and the ZSP Analytical Chemistry Team is responsible for the analytical testing of finished products and in-process materials.

    THIS POSITION IS SHORT TERM AND CONTRACTED THROUGH MANPOWER.

    Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm

    ZIPP Analytical Chemistry Analysts are expected to follow established methods, utilize approved laboratory techniques, and perform complex calculations to ensure accurate results are delivered in a timely manner. In addition to release testing, analysts perform investigations and instrument/method optimization to support Operations and Quality objectives. Analysts are also expected to utilize a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to maintain records in compliance with good manufacturing and regulatory practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in science or technical subject desired.
    • Minimum of one year of analytical laboratory experience required.
    • Instrumentation experience with ICP-OES/ICP-MS, GC, NIR, and HPLC/UPLC/HPIC desired.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills desired.
    • Proficiency with standard laboratory operations, equipment, and technique required.
    • Experience with the calibration and maintenance of lab equipment desired.
    • Familiarity with laboratory computer systems, including Chromeleon, Syngistix, and Sample Manager desired.
    • Experience in an FDA-regulated GMP environment desired.
    • Capacity to work up to 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends required.
